Anna Update

Our Anna is growing so big. She is such a Joy and brings a great happy and peaceful spirit into our home. We took her in for her 2 MONTH (oh my goodness time flies so fast) appointment on Wednesday (4/14). She was very tired and cranky while the doctor was doing her check up but once her left the room, I wrapped her up and she fell asleep. Not even 5 minutes later the nurse came in to give her the shots. Poor girl had to wake up to being poked in the leg 3 times. Seth was great and held her little hands while the nurse administered the shots. I, on the other hand, could not watch. I just stared at the wall until it was over and then gave her tons of 'loves'. Anna cried for a little while after the shots and then went right back to sleep. she was a little sleepy for the rest of the day but she was soon back to normal.

I love Anna so MUCH and it has been fun watching her grow!

Here are her measurements are:

Height: 22 1/2 cm
Weight: 9lbs 15oz

The doctor said that she is growing at the appropriate rate for her birth rate.

*Anna is changing so much. She is now a lot more interactive and loves to coo and smile. My favorite time of day is the morning because she gives her best smiles right when she wakes up.

There is nothing better to wake up to then a happy baby. When I remove her from her Swaddle-me, she stretches and smiles as though she is saying "FREEDOM!!!"

*She still loves bath time. When I put her in she immediately starts to coo and smile. She likes it best when I splash water on her tummy. I think that she is already a water baby. Yeah!!! On Saturday, May 1 st, Seth, Anna, and I went to our family reunion in Simi Valley. We wanted to see if Anna would like the pool as much as she likes the bath. So Seth put Anna in her little Swimmers diapers and we lathered her up in sunscreen. She LOVED being in the water. Seth just held her head up and she "swam" like a pro. She would have spent more time in the water, if she here mouth was not chattering. (Pictures to come)

* The week before Easter we dressed Anna in her cute Easter dress (Thanks Aunt Nancy). She was so cute and I love the bright colors on her. On Easter Sunday, we were invited to a breakfast at our friend's parent's house. We enjoyed good company, yummy food and conference. Happy first Easter Anna!

* Anna dose pretty well doing tummy time. Once she is put down she usually fusses and then the fussing turns into "talking". She is really good at lifting her head and looking around. On Sunday, 4-18-2010, I laid Anna on her tummy for tummy time. She immediately raised her head and streatched out her arm like she was going to crawl and then it happened.... She ROLLED OVER!!!!!!!!! Seth was asleep on the couch, so I woke him up and had Anna do it again. Now that both Seth and I have seen it, She will not do it again for the camera. Litle stinker.

*Mother like daughter..... my mom (and the rest of my siblings) have informed me that when I was little I love to watch myself in the mirrors and windows of our home. Well, I think Seth and I have a little actress on our hands because Anna does the same thing. Her favorite place to be is on the changing pad in the bathroom. As we change her diaper, she stares at herself in the mirror and either talks to herself or watches herself cry.

*Some times when Anna "talks" she says "uhMMMMMMuh". I tease Seth by telling him that she is all ready calling my name. Hehe.... He is trying to teach her how to say "da da" we will see how that goes.
